The aim is to help couples reflect on their marriage where there is opportunity to spend time together talking through various topics while providing tools to resolve any issues they might have. There is no group work involved – you only talk to each other! \nYou could look at the time spent on this course as a kind of MOT for your marriage.  We all put our cars through an annual MOT\, not because the car needs fixing but to check that everything is working the way it should.  Taking the marriage course is a way to ensure your marriage is working at its best – time definitely well spent!

SUMMARY:Engaging With The Mission of the Early Church
DESCRIPTION:Andy Barclay-Watt					\n					Speaker\n								\n					\n	\n\n\nAndy Barclay-Watt from LifeChurch Manchester will be delivering a day of teaching based on the mandate given to the early church in Acts 1:8 and what we can learn from their attitude towards it: “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem\, Judea\, Samaria and to all the ends of the earth.” Our Engaging With… days have proved very popular\, exploring key Biblical topics and helping to make them relevant to our lives. \nThe day will run from 9.45am–5pm\, comprising four sessions of teaching\, some worship\, and lunch and coffee breaks. Please bring a packed lunch\, or alternatively visit one of the many cafés in Hexham. \n£10 covers the cost of the day. Booking forms are available (until 26th Sept) from the church office. If you can’t drop in in person please call 01434 601113 or email office@hexhamcc.com. \nAll are welcome – particularly those from our Taking Ground churches! If you require accommodation with a local church member/family for the night this can be arranged for £10 – please mention this when booking. \nSome free long-stay parking bays are available in the Wentworth Leisure Centre car park (approx. 10 mins walk from the church). \nAndy will also be speaking at our HCC Sunday service the next morning.

DESCRIPTION:Come and pit your wits at one of Jen’s fantastic Hexham-famous (or infamous) quizzes! Our local Daniel Challenge team are hosting this event to raise funds for the costs of running their programme\, and since the team this year is three fifths Polish\, they will be giving you a taste of their homeland with some yummy Polish nibbles and snacks to help you concentrate!\nThis event will be held in the main hall at Hexham Community Church\, Friday 5th May\, from 7–9pm.\nTickets are £5 per person\, or £15 for a family ticket (two adults\, two children) and can be purchased either by speaking to Susanna Dawson or through the HCC office in person or on 01434 601113. \nThere will be tuck available to buy at the event as well. \nIt’s sure to be great fun\, and we welcome the competitive! Come along and support our hardworking Daniel Challengers before we say goodbye to them in June.
